Blog # 11 Misty

Aaniin ,

As usual, I am trying to catch up on my posts but, it is a losing proposition.

Shoot 89 is a Puyallup based artist that has a beautiful image. Misty Martin is a Northwest artist that creates a painted image that I call Photorealism. Misty prefers the term, Post modern realism.
Her work is very inspiring to me because it is the exact opposite of what I am attempting as a photographer. She creates a painting that looks like a photograph and I try to create a photograph that looks like a painting. Her paintings are very successful at achieving the look of realism and if I keep at it hopefully mine will someday hit what I am after.
Misty is represented by the Patricia Rovzar gallery in Seattle and Kirkland. In Tacoma, the        American Art Company features her work.

Here is some good old head banging music to view the images with.

Post # 10 Amtgard at Spanaway

Aaniin,

On September 1st, I attended a gathering of Medievalist’s at Spanaway Park. They are the “Shrouding  Mist” of the Kingdom of Northern Lights. Their Monarch is Faraque. I was invited to the weekly event by Debby, a maker of LARP garb. She will be making me clothing for my shoots, as soon as I can afford it.

Here is Mood Music for this post.
