Aaniin,
March 26, 2014 was the opening of my 2nd showing.
This was a group show celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Collective. The theme was 253, covering
pretty much the entire pierce county area.
Most of the images were of the 66th Annual Golden Gloves held at the Tacoma Armory at 11th and
Yakima. I got some great portraits there like Leo Randolph, the Olympic Gold Medalist and Stan the Man, the reason behind why we have AAA baseball in Tacoma. This Golden Gloves was my first and Stan’s
64th. Mr. Mac was also at
ringside. My favorite portrait was of
River, the girl that won the first jacket.
I had 18 images but, only 12 frames so I will have to rotate
the photos.
The evening ended with the Duchess and her Art Bus, filling the gallery to
capacity and some very appreciated sales.
For Vision Quest 1, Maiden Voyage, I closed with the Herbie Handcock song but for this show I close with the Michael Buble` cover of the Nina Simone
hit “Feeling Good”.
